BIAFRA: LET'S TAKE A LOOK

Biafra, a name that which started out by its founder,Major Ojukwu Nzeogwu and had since been a force  that has to be fought out or reckoned with . The name Biafra, has become not just a name but a political movement and ideology of a given people who sees themselves as die heart followers of the founder but something has to be considered before taking this farther. Firstly,is how it all started has a lot to do with this ,is all these worth it or at the long run,is it worth fighting the war against all odd of peace?Going down historical line, the fight began after the coup d'état  led by Major Nzeogwu Chukuma, from the book written by the Former president,Olusegun Obasanjo about Late Nzeogwu Chuk uma who was his best friend as at that time, pointed out that the reason for the coup was not tribal nor meant for self will power control but the late Major was at that time displease with the level of corruption in his country and thus thought the mass killing of top corrupt military heads who abuse the country resources and power will solve the high level of corruption which led to the massacre killing of top military heads which brought in Major Aguiyi Ironsi, this made the Northern suspicious of  tribal control from the east, which made them carry out a coûter coup that brought in Major Gowon . Major Ojukwu seeing this and felt he was of an higher rank than the Governor general and couldnot bring himself to be controlled by him ,threatened the peace and unity of Nigeria with the idea of secession, this threat emerge the name"Biafra" . With no thought about the lives of his fellow people he advanced for the war of secession. But the first straw that destroyed Biafra was the division of the eastern region into other regions threw a dead shot ;in the formation of the Biafra. This division of calabar,Ogoja,Rivers into Southern Eastern states made it clear that the people championing division were not among the oil producingstates;but the smaller regions ,now the question asked by these minorities is that "what do you have to offer us,if we join your camp" in other words what good life do you have ;that you can exchange for our support and;not our own resources .With these questions the minorities already answering the question by what they saw decided to support the unity of Nigeria than a single self rule and even the Bible says "a divided house can never stand" this was the beginning of defeat of the Biafra war . Major Ojukwu saw the defeat fore hand but still with all pride wanted to push ;through. Secondly, what infrastructure facility do you have in your states to cater for at least 2 million people who will have to return back from where they have been hustling in other parts of the country. It's still a shock when some ;people carries the ideology like a do or die affair and do not consider the lives of others . What jobs do you have to offer those coming back ,before embarking on division you must consider the aftermath of your plans . Division is more than just leaving but what ;happens after the division in terms of feeding ,shelter, job and other basic amenities . You don't even need to fight ,put together these basic amenities and make the people aware with evidence what awaits them back home and things will take it course ,if it is sure to exist but if not let's embrace unity and look out for the best way .
