Abusive Father Burns His 5-Years-Old Daughter's Eyes, Private Part With Iron While Beating Her

The police in Lagos arrested a wicked man for allegedly beating his 5-Years-Old daughter, Basirat, with hot iron.

Surakat Idowu,46, a resident of 8,Kayode Toyoso Street, off Liasu road, Ikotun was nabbed by the police after his neighbour reportedly the toddler's battery to the police.

He allegedly burnt his daughter with hot iron on her face and private part because she slipped and fell into a gutter.

It was gathered that Idowu gave Basirat waste to pour away into the latrine but she slipped on her way and fell inside the gutter.

Angered by the development, he reportedly beat her mercilessly before burning her with hot iron.

Basirat's mother  has left the home and being seperated from the abusive man over two years and all efforts to contact her proved abortive.

The State Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni said Barisat was receiving treatment at the hospital while Idowu would be interrogated at the command and would be charged for child abuse and assault occasionaning harm.
