Zimbabwe President,Mugagbe Orders Detention Of Entire Zimbabwe Olympic Team For Not Bringing Home A Media

Zimbabwe President, Robert Mugagbe instructed the Commissioner General of Zimbabwe Police Republic, Augustine  to arrest and detain the whole Zimbabwe Olympic Team members immediately they arrived the Harare International Airport on Tuesday, August 23.

This comes after the team of 31 athletes didn’t return with any medal.

Mr Mugagbe said:

"We have wasted our  country's money on these rats we call athletes.

If you were not ready to sacrifice and win even copper or brass medals (referring the 4th and 5th positions) as our neighbours Botswana did, then why do you go to waste our money" he said

"If we needed people to just go to Brazil to sing our national anthem and host our flag, we should have sent somr  guys from the university of Zimbabwe to represent us. This situation is like an impotent man who married five women,what's the essence. It would be converted to soft loans for them to pay back to the country ...."
